Peter Gayford attended the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School (ENTCS) for the Three-Month Beginners Certificate Course between September and December 2020. Since leaving, Pete has set up a successful catering business FieldFireFork where he uses amazing Scottish produce and a very special barbecue.
Nigel Stewart attended our Three Month Intermediate Certificate Course in January 2014. Since graduating from the course Nigel has been busy as a freelance private chef based mainly in Suffolk and Essex but also travelling further afield to cook for clients. We asked Nigel some questions about his decision to change his career and how he has found life and work since he left ENTCS.
Jenny Haigh attended our Six-Month Diploma Course in 2014. Since she graduated, Jenny has been working as a freelance chef. She is very busy and always travelling but she managed to find time to answer some questions about her time at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School
Michelle Logan, one-time ski instructor, now a full-time chef, enrolled in the One Month Certificate course in May 2010 and since then has worked in shooting lodges, restaurants and as a private chef before returning to us as a teacher. She runs her own business Umami Spice Girl selling street food around Edinburgh.
Chloe Savage enrolled in the One Month Certificate course in 2012. Since then she has travelled the world, cooking for sailing crews aboard luxury yachts.

Whilst working as a trainee solicitor, she realised cooking was her real passion & decided to change to do what she loved.
Hannah Innes completed the Six Month Diploma in 2014.
Since then she has been working hard in the kitchens of fine dining establishments in Edinburgh to hone the skills she learnt at the Cookery School. She now runs her own business and works as a freelance chef.
Roly had a 12 year career in estate agency prior to coming to Edinburgh New Town Cookery School to undertake our 6 Month Diploma Course.
Leila took our 6 Month Diploma Course and graduated in March 2014. Since leaving Leila has worked with various catering companies and is now based in Norfolk where she is freelancing for catering companies and cooking for her own private clients.
Isla Cruickshank attended the Three Month Beginners Certificate at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School in September 2012. Since then she has used her qualification to find work during gap years and university holidays. We asked Isla to talk to us about herself, her training and what she has been doing since she left us.
