This one day course at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School is a must for chocolate lovers. We will show you how to make different chocolate puddings, desserts and treats whilst also learning about meringues and pastry.
Demonstrations
Saturday 28th March 2026 10am - 12.30pm A wonderful morning demonstration of delicate, flaky, layered pastries such as croissants, pain au chocolat, and Danish pastries – take centre stage in this relaxed and delicious morning demonstration. Enjoy a welcome tea or coffee before learning how to laminate and shape yeasted doughs with expert guidance. You’ll watch classic pastries being made, pick up tips for using every scrap, sample a variety of bakes, and have plenty of time to ask questions throughout.

This intensive 5-day Chef-Host Course is a practical, confidence-building programme designed to prepare you for life working as a cook or host in a ski resort, shooting lodge, chartered yachts and private villas. Combining hands-on cookery with essential theory and service skills, the course mirrors the pace, pressure, and expectations of real seasonal work.
