Make corn tortillas from scratch, prepare flavourful fish tacos, and create perfectly seasoned corn ribs. Over two hours, you’ll explore how to balance spices and build depth without overwhelming heat. Open to all skill levels, this relaxed class is led by a welcoming teaching team and designed to inspire confident home cooking.

Enjoy a special Mother’s Day at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School with a half-day afternoon tea baking class. Learn to make classic treats including a Victoria sandwich, indulgent chocolate pavlovas, cheese scones, traditional Scottish shortbread and elegant pea and mint blinis with smoked salmon. After three hours of hands-on baking, relax in our beautiful dining room overlooking Queen Street Gardens and enjoy your homemade afternoon tea with a glass of fizz. Perfect for mums, friends, families or solo bakers.
