Our Professional Courses Taster Day offers prospective students an exclusive insight into life at the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School. The day will begin with a demonstration from our highly skilled teaching team, showcasing the techniques and recipes that form the foundation of our diploma training.
We will then move into the teaching kitchen for a practical session, preparing fresh pasta dough by hand, shaping it into tortellini, and completing the dish with a classic sage butter sauce. This hands-on experience reflects the high standards of culinary instruction delivered throughout all our courses. Participants will then sit down to enjoy their freshly prepared lunch enjoyed alongside the dishes from the morning demonstration with plenty of opportunities to ask our team questions about their experience and careers as well as the Cookery School and Edinburgh.
Following lunch, a short presentation on food entrepreneurship will highlight the diverse career pathways available to graduates. The day concludes with an open forum, providing the opportunity to discuss our full range of courses and receive personalised guidance on selecting the most suitable programme.
