Step into the festive spirit and learn to make your own mince pies and mulled wine. In this cosy class, you’ll roll up your sleeves to create your own buttery shortcrust pastry, prepare a rich, spiced mincemeat filling, and assemble a batch of traditional mince pies to bake to golden perfection.
While your pies are in the oven, you’ll brew a warming glass of mulled wine (or spiced apple juice) – the perfect companion to your freshly baked treats.
Baking festive treats is a wonderful way to spend quality time with friends or family during the holiday season by slowing down and cherishing the traditional flavours of Christmas. You’ll leave with your own beautiful batch of warm pies, perfect for gifting or savouring at home, and the confidence to elevate your festive repertoire with homemade mince pies year after year; a delicious tradition to make your own!

- The recipes made on this course contain the following: DAIRY, GLUTEN AND SULPHITES.
- Can be adapted for vegans and vegetarians, please let us know upon booking.
- Please let us know of any dietary requirements, allergies or special accommodations required at the time of booking. We will be as flexible as possible, when we can, so as to be inclusive to all students but we may not be able to substitute ingredients in the recipes.
- We do everything we can to reduce the risk of cross contamination, however we cannot guarantee a completely allergen free environment and therefore our kitchens may be unsuitable for students with severe or life-threatening allergies.

Age limit
Our one-day workshops and short courses are 16+ unless otherwise specified, under 18’s will be making spiced apple juice. Children aged 14 or 15 may attend with an adult over 18. Please bring your ID as we will be following challenge 25 for anyone having mulled wine.
Course times
On the day, the school will be open from 5.45pm and the class will begin at 6pm. The class will be finished by 8pm, depending on the course and class size it may finish earlier.
