Edinburgh New Town Cookery School (ENTCS) has won Cookery School of the Year at the Food Awards Scotland 2019.
Fiona Burrell, Principal comments: “Winning Cookery School of the Year is a recognition of the dedication of our team at ENTCS. Hard work reaps rewards and we go the extra mile every day to give our professional students a rewarding learning experience so they can fulfill their dreams in the food industry; and to bring a love of food to first time cooks. It is fantastic to have our ten years of success recognised!”
This award comes as ENTCS celebrates its tenth year of business. Opening in 2009, the school has trained many professional chefs who have gone on to work in top kitchens and become leading food writers and cooks.
The school was founded by Fiona Burrell, formerly Principal of Leith’s School of Food and Wine. She began her career in Edinburgh and has been teaching professional cookery courses for thirty years. With courses on offer from one day tasters for amateurs, to six month professional courses, many graduates have gone on to work in some the UK’s top kitchens.
