At the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School you will be shown the simple techniques of preparing fish and vegetables for sushi and will have a go at making it yourself. In the afternoon, after lunch, you will have a go at other Japanese recipes, which you can take home with you.
The day starts at 9.45 with coffee and a demonstration and will draw to a close at approximately 4pm.
Typical recipes include:
Grilled Miso Aubergine
Pork and Vegetable Gyoza (dumplings) with Dipping Sauce
Soba Noodles with Chicken and Leek in Dashi Stock Broth
This course is suitable for adults of over 16. Children aged 14 and above can attend but only when accompanied on the course by an adult. Please check with the school before booking if you have any queries about this.
