Come and spend a day at The Edinburgh New Town Cookery School baking lots of treats for Christmas. On this one day Christmas Baking Course we will show you how easy and quick it is to make your own mincemeat and pastry so that you will never use shop bought again, we will be making a christmas cake with a difference – it contains chocolate as well as fruit and we will make Stollen, a European favourite Christmas cake/bread.
The day starts at 9.45 am with coffee as we give a short demonstration and a run through of the day’s events. You will then move to our kitchen where you will start the baking. After a break for lunch in our beautiful first floor dining room, which is always a sociable occasion, you will continue baking until 4pm and you’ll go home laden with wonderful baking for you, your family and friends to enjoy!

Chocolate Fruit Christmas Cake
Home Made Mince Pies
Cinnamon Shortbread Stars
Note: Many of the recipes used on this course contain nuts and therefore it is not suitable for those with a nut allergy.
