On Tuesday 28th September we have Charlotte Flower coming to teach our students about chocolate. Charlotte is a chocolatier based near Aberfeldy in Perthshire. She forages in the wild, open countryside where she lives for flavours to add to her chocolates. She works in as sustainable way as possible and uses fair trade chocolate. Charlotte sells her products online and at various markets.
This is a one-off event and we only have 5 spaces available. You will each choose your flavouring and make up a batch of ganache which you will roll and cover with tempered chocolate. At the end of the day you will have a box of delicious hand made truffles to take home with you.
Learning outcomes: Understanding different chocolate flavours, making a ganache and experimenting with flavours for it, tempering chocolate, finishing chocolates
Please note this is not suitable for people who are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy products, nuts or chocolate as all will be used in the class.
