At the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School we know how popular baking is and so we have devised this one day baking workshop for people who already have some baking skills but would like to try some more advanced techniques.

At the Edinburgh New Town Cookery School we know how popular baking is and so we have devised this one day baking workshop for people who already have some baking skills but would like to try some more advanced techniques . On this course many skills and types of recipes are covered from using yeast to making delicious cakes, biscuits and colourful macaroons.
The day starts at 9.45am with coffee or tea and a short demonstration of some of the skills you will learn. After a morning cooking you will break for lunch with a glass of wine and continue cooking in the afternoon. The day will draw to a close at approximately 4pm.

This course is suitable for adults of over 16. Children aged 14 and above can attend but only when accompanied on the course by an adult. Please check with the school before booking if you have any queries about this.

Thursday 1st December 2022 10.30am - 12.30pm On this morning Christmas Canape demonstration at Edinburgh New Town Cookery School in December you arrive for coffee and shortbread and the demonstration will start at 10.30am. The demonstration will last for 2 hours during which you will be shown how to make several festive savoury and sweet canapes which you will taste at the end of the demonstration with a glass of prosecco.

Saturday 3rd September 2022 This course is for those who feel they are beginners at baking. We will cover some of the basic techniques of cake and bread making so that you will feel more confident to cover other recipes at home. At the end of your baking day you will leave with a collection of fantastic baked goods. Arrive at 9.30 am for coffee and the class will start at approximately 9.45am. We will stop for lunch and carry on baking in the afternoon. The day will draw to a close at approximately 4.00 pm.
